How lucky am I that part of my job is to come into people's homes and capture one of the most special and sacred times of a family's life? There's something so magical about being around a newborn and little Dominic was no exception. It was so wonderful to meet his parents who were absolutely lovely and to feel their love and excitement for their beautiful little boy. Dominic, you lucked out in the Mom and Dad department, that's for sure! I wish the three of you the very best and I hope you treasure these images for many, many years to come!

This family has a special place in my heart. They put their trust in me as I was first starting my business to capture the beauty of their firstborn baby girl Serena back in 2013 (I still remember how nervous I felt before that session and how lovely Neda and Stephen were which immemdiately made me feel comfortable). Then a few years later, I felt honored and excited for them again as they asked me to photograph their handsome and sweet little Sebastian and to continue photographing them through the years documenting these lovely kiddos growing up. Well I was just overjoyed to hear about this third precious child arriving into their family last month. Some children take longer than others on their journey into this world and Sophia was longed for well before the positive pregnancy test. She is adored by her parents and her big brother and sister and the love felt for her at the session was just palpable. What a lucky little girl she is! It's really an honor to be welcomed into peoples' home and hearts again and again to witness such beauty and joy at such a presious time in life. Thank you for the honor V. Family, I've really enjoyed it and congratualtions again to you on the arrival of your gorgeous little Sophia! Just look at this gorgeous and grateful family glow!

Hello Lovelies! What a few years it's been! I'm so happy that the spring is here and that some more normalcy is creeping back into day to day life and for my work to be getting back into the swing of things. I love seeing my returning clients faces and also to be meeting some new beautiful faces along the way! As per usual this Mother's Day I wanted to share some of my favorite Mama and littles images of the year. Patrick and Haley's Wedding

Hello Everyone! It's been a long time since I last blogged (I blame 2020 of course!) but I couldn't let this wedding go by without some proper fanfare. Haley and Patrick got married on the Autumnal Equinox last September and it was just perfect! One of the upsides of getting married in a pandemic is the focus is right where it ought to be; on the couple. Patrick and Haley got married at City Hall in a simple and love-filled ceremony (I'm not gonna lie, the vows definitely made me tear up my friends!) Then we headed to Belle Isle Marsh and Short Beach here in Winthrop for our session before they headed out on their married life together. I feel honored to have been there to witness their union. It was definitely a highlight of 2020 for me. Congrats to the gorgeous couple! May you always sail though such challenging times with grace and love and each other by you sides!

Welcome Ginny! My First Distanced Newborn Session

Well hello there! It's been ages since I've blogged but I definitely wanted to share the photos of this gorgeous little newborn with the world! I've known the wonderful L. Family for over 6 years now! I met them when I photographed their eldest handsome little Francis's newborn session. Then it seemed like it was a blink of an eye when along came sweet Mattie and then adorable Annie and now perfect little Ginny! It has been such a pleasure to document this growing family! But it's 2020 of course and safety during this pandemic is my utmost priority so we figured out how to do a outdoor and hands off newborn session and it went beautifully! We worked in the L. family's backyard and I kept my mask on and my distance for it's entirety. I brought a crib mattress with me, some wraps and blankets and stood back and captured the magic. So people, it can be done! Welcome to the world Ginny! I'm so glad I got to capture this special time for you and your family and I look forward to the day when we all get to be a little closer ;)

Wowza have I ever been slacking this last year on blogging! I suppose that's what you get with a 1 and 3 year old at home but nevertheless, I got my act together and really enjoyed looking through my past year's worth of work and picking out my very favorite Mom and kiddo photos to share with all of you on Mother's Day. Happy Mother's Day to all of the amazing Moms I know! I find it to be so true that "the days are long but the years are short." I can hardly believe that my little boy is about to turn 3 and my baby girl is crawling already. By the end of every day I'm absolutely exhausted but man, are they ever worth it. Mothering is hands down the hardest thing I've ever done and also the most important and amazing thing too. I feel so blessed to be a Mom. What a gift my kiddos are. And I also feel so blessed to be a photographer who gets to capture some of the incredible fleeting moments we have with our little ones. And so, here is my annual installment of my favorite Mama moments captured in time over the past year. I wish all of you many hugs and kisses from your little ones today as well as some much needed (I'm sure!) time to yourself. Cheers to you Mamas! Keep up the good work!

This session was such a joy! I got to work with the beautiful R. family again and see how much their daughter Emerson has grown and changed since her newborn session 2 years ago. Now she is a big sister to the newly arrived little Tommy and the whole family is thrilled. Emerson could not have been more amicable (a word not often associated with 2 year olds you know!) and Tommy practically slept the whole session besides some brief moments to nurse and let me catch a few stunning images of his beautiful eyes wide open. You can really see the love in these images. Thank you R. family for a wonderful session and Congratulations again on the arrival of your beautiful boy!

Welcoming Sweet Baby James

This family is one of my absolute favorites and it's so exciting that they just welcomed their 4th little baby into this world! Little James is a lucky little guy to be a member of this awesome clan! I met the B Family 5 years ago when I was just starting my photography business and was looking for a part time job that I would enjoy doing as my business grew. Well, I hit the jackpot by taking a nannying job for their adorable little baby Kieran. I absolutely fell in love with their little guy and stayed with their family for about 2 years getting to take care of their next arrival, little baby Luke for several months before my own baby was born and my business was on it's own two legs. Not only was this family an absolute pleasure to work with but they also referred me to about a bazillion of their friends and family for photography work and still quite a hefty portion of my wonderful clients are friends or friends of friends of this awesome family. I was so excited to see them all again and meet baby James and to capture this precious time in their lives. Look at the smiles on these kiddos....they really are as sweet and happy as they look! Just look at this gorgeous boy! And what a lucky boy he is too. He was welcomed into this world back in June by his adoring parents and proud big sister Serena. I especially love the sibling photos from this session as you can just feel Serena's love and excitement about her new baby brother. It's such a pleasure to photograph the same families again and again and when they are welcoming a new member into their family, it's especially exciting. I was there to document Serena's newborn days and it was my pleasure to return to photograph Sebastian's arrival. Those cheeks! That hair! That handsome little smile! Morgan's First Birthday Session

There is something so sweet about a first birthday and I love when clients contact me to capture this special milestone in their little ones lives. Whether it be with a cake smash or a simple family portrait session, it's such a special time to document. This is Morgan celebrating her first birthday (which yes was last spring but hey, I've been on maternity leave and am finally catching up on some blogging and didn't want to leave this cutie out!) I was there to document her big brother Colton's newborn session and Morgan's as well which made this session even more fun for me. It's crazy to see how much changes in the first year of a baby's life and by age one their little personalities are in full bloom as they're on the edge of leaving their babyhood behind and becoming a full blown toddler. I just love Morgan's sweet little cherubic face and blue eyes and of course, the tender moments between her and her big brother (who is just FULL of energy and ever so handsome!) Well our beautiful new baby girl Zoe Noelle is a month old now so I figured it's time to get around to posting a few of her newborn photos up on the blog! Her Dad and I are in love and surprisingly, so is her big brother Evan! Life is good (and busy) with the two of them so I'm taking a much needed maternity leave and not working at all this fall. I'll miss seeing so many of you this season (especially my regulars who I get to see every year) but instead, I get to see this little face every day so you can't beat that!

Beautiful Little Ella

How cute is this little charmer? Yup, ridiculously cute. This is Ella and we did a simple portrait session in her home with my studio lights and white backdrop so that the star of the show (Ella!) simply shines. We did a couple of outfit changes, included her furry siblings, and voila! Her parents now have some images they'll treasure forever. So fun, so simple and so beautiful. Thanks little Ella for a wonderful session!

Brynn's First Year

I first met beautiful little Brynn when she was only a few days old and feel so lucky to have gotten to photograph her and her awesome parents two more times by her first birthday. I really love having so many repeat clients because it's so fun getting to know families better with each session and also getting to watch their little ones grow and grow! It's so fulfilling to me to be able to document little people's lives and there is nothing more fleeting and magical than that first year of life. Happy Birthday little Brynn! Belle Isle Marsh Family Session

This little darling girl is Holland and she happens to be one of my son's very best friends. Holland is simply the cutest (inside and out!) and I happen to love her parents too. Even though this was a fall session, I felt it had to get up on the blog (better late than never and it's also Holland's 2nd birthday this week!) This was an easy breezy 30 minute Mini Session where we walked into Belle Isle Marsh in Winthrop together and captured some sweet family moments. The early years seem to fly by as any parent knows so it's a honor to get to capture this precious and fleeting time. Happy Birthday Holland Rose!

Newborn Grace

Well, now that it's January, I feel that I can finally take a deep breath and look back at the incredible fall and holiday season my photography business has had. It was definitely my busiest season yet and I completely let the ball drop on my blog as I shot multiple families every week for Holiday Card Season. I was a bit lost on where to begin blogging again but then remembered an especially wonderful newborn session with little Grace. Not only is she a stunningly beautiful baby with absolutely lovely parents, but her 2 doggie siblings were eager to join in the session as well! One of my favorite shots of the season has to be when the family's black lab Kota photobombed Mom, Dad, and baby Grace with a goofy little smile on her face. I think she's pretty excited about her new baby sister :) Welcome to the world Grace!

This was such a fun cake smash! Little Quinn loved posing and playing with his parents outside, then smashing up his first birthday cake with gusto! Since we still had some time left over after the decimation of the cake, it was into the bubble bath to get cleaned up and snap a few more photos. Quinn had a ball, just going with the flow and smiling all along like a professional first birthday model :) And can you believe this little guy's eyelashes?! They go on for miles! Happy Happy Birthday little Quinn! It was a pleasure to document this milestone for you!

One of my favorite things (that has been happening a lot lately!) is to photograph repeat clients especially when they welcome a new baby into the family! I first met the M. family 2 years ago just a few days after their son Colton was born and now it has been my pleasure to see them again and photograph their brand new beautiful baby girl Morgan. And on top of that, we got to try out my new pink newborn sized tutu (which on Morgan, is just cuteness overload)! So all in all it was a lovely little newborn session. Thanks so much M. I get such a great joy out of watching the families I have come to know through photography grow. My first session with this family was last summer when I met baby Reagan and family dog Zoe at the beach in South Boston, then the second session was a lovely fall mini-session at the park where I was happily surprised to see Mom's new baby bump and this third session of course, I got to meet brand new baby Caroline and see Mom, Dad, and big sister Reagan all fall in love. Fiona's Cake Smash

This session was a lot of fun because A) There was a cake smash involved (always messy and always fun!) B) We got to go outside for some playing in the snow action, C) I captured some really cute moments between big sister Anna and little sister Fiona and D) This was my 4th session with this family and they are just plain awesome! So I first photographed little Fiona when she was in her Mom's belly, and then as a gorgeous little newborn, and again last summer when she was crawling around on the beach and this time as a happy little one year old toddling about and smashing cake into her face all at the same time! My, how time flies! Happy Birthday Fiona!

A Fall Mini-Session For 6!

The fall was such whirlwind for me and I had so many great sessions that I have to share at least a few! Here is one of my very favorite mini sessions from the season. This session was truly so much fun! Robbie's parents Kayla and Joel made it such a pleasure because they were just so happy and in love with their new little guy that it seemed to come through in every photo. First we shot a quick half hour at their home and then drove over to a spot along the Charles where we got their sweet little dog Atticus (AKA Robbie's big brother) in on the action too. Yes, I realize this session happened months ago but it's better to blog late then never right?! I couldn't NOT show these images to the world. You may recognize this happy family from previous blog posts and now August and Beau (twin brothers) have turned ONE! We had a great session divided into 3 parts; some family shots outdoors, then a messy cake smash to celebrate the boys' birthday and then finally, a tub to clean up! The cake smash part was quite hilarious as one brother (August) was SUPER into the cake and getting it all over every square inch of himself and the other brother (Beau) really wanted NOTHING to do with the cake and much preferred to stay nice and clean. Each to his own, right? Happy Birthday Boys! It has been a blast documenting your first year!

A North End Engagment Session

This little sweetheart just turned one! I met Elizabeth when she was only a few days old and lucky for me, her parents chose to go with the First Year Package that I had just started offering clients. This package is always so much fun for me since I get to document the amazing change and growth of a tiny little newborn into a busy toddler (as a newborn, 4, 8 and 12 month old). The first year of life is truly a wonder and I have loved capturing all the ages and stages of this darling little baby girl. Here she is in all her 1 year old glory!

A Sisters Session

This was my second year back to photograph sisters Brooke and Holly and they are just so much fun! They smiled and laughed our whole session long and were full of hugs and affection for each other (so sweet!) I am so glad I convinced Mom to get in a few pictures too near the end of our session. She said she has very few pictures of her with her daughters and in my opinion, that's just not right! I hope you guys will get to treasure these images for years to come!

Little 2 year old Anna was such a pleasure to work with (and so were her parents!) We had a great session at the Boston Gardens on one of our many recent beautiful fall days. You can see Anna's spunky little spirit really shine through in some of these images. Anna, you are awesome!

Pure Cuteness

This session couldn't have gone any better. Firstly, I was working with just the sweetest family on a gorgeous Autumn day in the Boston Gardens. Secondly, their little guy Jackson was not only full of smiles and simply adorable but he was ALSO wearing a bow tie! You just can't beat a baby in a bow tie, right?! Luke on the Move!

I was lucky enough to be little Luke's newborn photographer and now at over a year old, he is a whole new man! Luke was on the move for our entire session by the Bunker Hill Monument in Charlestown (running, chasing, throwing balls, admiring dogs and playing with Mom and Dad of course). I don't think I could love these images more! These two sisters, Callie and Rachel, have so much personality and are just so much fun to work with. And on top of that, we had ourselves one of those amazing last days of summer where everything seemed almost surreal because it was just so gorgeous out. Perfection! Oh and be sure to check out the third image down which I took just after big sister Callie was fooling around and accidentally dunked herself into the water...her face looking toward her Mom to see how much trouble she is in is priceless!

Life is good for little Ford. Really, really good. Otherwise, he wouldn't be smiling and laughing all the time like he did for our entire session! I first met Ford for his newborn session and now at 4 months old his personality is really blooming. He is such a joy to work with and his parents are pretty cool too ;)

Welcoming Asher

This handsome little guy is Asher and we had a great session together despite his near complete strike on sleeping :) His proud new parents say they are exhausted as Asher strikes throughout the night these days but I think for being so sleep deprived they look especially fantastic! It seemed that Asher wanted to stay awake for our session together and not miss a minute of the action. The shots where he is "asleep" were really just cat naps so it was a new experience for me and rather fun to capture a newborn so alert and engaged with his parents. You can practically see the love in these shots...

Adelaide in the Park

Little cutie Adelaide and her wonderful parents met me in Larz Anderson Park in Brookline for this family session. The park was pretty new to all of us (and a great setting for a shoot by the way). Us three adults had to work some magic to get Adelaide used to her new surroundings and comfortable enough to smile and be her happy self, but and when she did, it was totally worth it!

This family is so special to me since I have taken care of little Kieran part-time for over a year now and he is so dear to my heart. Now they have welcomed baby Luke to the family and what a gorgeous family they are! My favorite part of this session? When we placed a crying /fussing Luke in big brother Kieran's arms and he started yelling, "Take it away! Take it away!" Awww, brotherly love!

Newborn Ford may be brand new to the world yet he has a certain wisdom to his face that is oh so endearing. To add to the cuteness, during our session he was making these absolutely adorable little baby snorting noises that just melted my heart. Yup, a super cutie all around I'd say! I am especially happy with the second image here which is definitely one of my favorite mommy/baby shots to date...so soft and warm that you can just feel the love! Congrats to the proud parents!

Last weekend I had a very fun-filled session with this beautiful family in Marblehead. Their entourage for the shoot consisted of three adorable little cousins, three sets of parents, and one Auntie! We were supposed to have a waterfront session but the weather turned against us so we made the very best of one of the family's yards which, lucky for us, happened to be full of forsythia and looking very colorful and spring like! Needless to say, with so many people I took a TON of photos so it was especially hard to choose which ones to post! Here are some of my faves :)

Meeting Etta

This was a special session for me because the Mom of these two little ones is one of my oldest and closest friends and it was the first time I got to meet little newborn Etta. Big brother Patrick (almost 3) has been so excited to meet his "sister baby" and now that she is finally here I got to capture some images of some of their "bonding" moments. Etta is going to be one tough cookie with a brother like P who practically clobbers her with all his love! Congratulations Elise and Jack on the newest installment to your family!

This is Liam, full of big goofy smiles and attentive blue eyes. He is oh-so-different from 6 months ago when we had his newborn session with his dark eyes and thick black hair. It is so fun to get to see his how much he has changed and what a happy, drooling, babbling little guy he has become! We had a few outfit changes in this shoot although my favorite outfit has to be the diaper with his monkey hat....see for yourself why that kind of cuteness just melts my heart...

My First Twins!

Even though I have been lucky enough to have a session with little triplets, these two cuties are my first set of twins to work with! Little Christopher and Matthew are 3 months old and just adorable. I even convinced Mom to get in some of the photos even though she is exhausted (of course!) She is beautiful though and her boys were lucky enough to get her blue blue eyes!

We snuck in their session in the nick of time and even caught some daylight outside to get some of my favorite images of the shoot in (see below for outdoor horsing around with Dad!) Christmas Card Mini-session

I have watched these kids grow up and taken their Christmas card pictures for at least the past 3 years. These siblings have great energy between them and followed my directions to "hold hands and squeeze together" without flinching! This was a mini-session of only 30 minutes but that was all we needed since they were so eager to please and get going to get their Christmas tree! Merry Christmas Isaiah, Theo and Lilah!

This was a very spirited shoot full of great big smiles and laughter. These two little jokers are Callie and Rachel and I went to high school with their Dad (which may explain why we felt so free to be immature jesters to get all the laughs). Of course, it can't be all laughs with the little ones and when Callie started crying because her feet were getting cold, I captured one of my favorite shots of her (complete with tears and Dad comforting her...so precious). Overall, it was a fantastic shoot and the girls earned lots of stickers for their enthusiasm. You girls are awesome!!!

A Winthrop Family Beach Session

I was so excited to get the chance to photograph this family right here in my newly adopted town of Winthrop. Even though it's November, the day was perfect and the beach was calling. Usually family portraits can be tricky when they involve a 1 and 3 year old but these little troopers were awesome! We even added the family dog Lola (who is super gorgeous) to the mix near the end of our session. Thanks to the Nelsons for my first Winthrop shoot (and a very fun and successful one at that!)

Especially amazing to me was the 3 year old flower girl/ daughter of the bride and groom who must be the most well behaved 3 year old in history! He must have run around the outside circumference of his grandmother's house several times in the half hour that I was there! Mini sessions are great for young active kids like Patrick.
